What is a set-top box and how does it work?
A set top box is a decoder which plugs into your existing TV set. It receives the digital signal and decodes it so it can be displayed on an analogue set, or on other display devices like a computer monitor or projection screen. Using a set top box will give you improved reception and most of the SDTV picture enhancements.
