Troubleshooting for Ducted & Split System Air Con’s
Problem
Unit is not working no lights on.

Solution (Ducted & Split System Air Con’s)
Check circuit breaker in switchboard hasn’t tripped Change batteries in remote control


Problem

Unit is not heating or cooling

Solution (Ducted & Split System Air Con’s)
Check that filters are clean
Look at instruction manual to check settings on remote are correct


Problem

Water is dripping from indoor unit.

Solution (Ducted & Split System Air Con’s)
Check filters are clean
Check that drain is not blocked (may require service technician to clear drain)


Problem

Water is draining from outdoor unit.

Solution (Ducted & Split System Air Con’s)
This is normal when set on heating, Installer can drain it to disperse into a garden bed if required


Problem

Unit turns on and off on its own

Read instruction manual to insure that timer function is not set on remote.


Problem

Louvers open but not blowing any air or louvers closing again after short time

Solution (Split System Air Con’s Only)
Switch off unit at main power source (switchboard) for a few minutes then switch back on, this can sometimes reset the unit and it continue to operate normally.


Problem

When set on heating louvres open and compressor outside is working but no air flow.

Solution (Split System Air Con’s Only)
Compressor needs to heat first which can take some time (minutes) and then it will start heating inside.


Problem

No air coming from ANY vent outlets

Solution (Ducted System Only)
Check if Damper at outlet has been shut
Check if main air flow or return duct has not been damaged or has come away from system.
(May require a Service Call)
