So as to ensure the quality of your installation, Dale will work with you and the install team before and AFTER installation to ensure that you have a quality installation.

We strongly recommend as part of the process to ensure you have a solar power system designed to your current and possible future energy needs, we will perform an energy audit and look at you past, current and possible future electricity needs.

LG Solar - Quality & Reliability for the Future 

LG has been manufacturing electrical goods since 1958 and have one of most stringent quality control procedures when manufacturing their solar cells and solar modules.

LG has been in solar research since the mid 1980s.  Module production started in 2009 and current capacity is 1,2 GW with plans for 4 Gigawatt capacity within the next 2-3 years. In 2017, capacity will reach 2 GW.

The manufacturing process is vertically integrated and this means that LG undertakes and controls every production stage from sourcing the silicon to manufacturing the cells and the modules. Overall over 500 quality control processes are being used to build the modules from scratch.

LG Electronics has many offices in over 100 countries including USA, Japan, China, India, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia they have offices in every mainland city and the Australian solar unit is based in Sydney. 

Since 2011 LG solar has distributed over 380,000 panels to Australian customers with 3 panels being accepted on goodwill when poor installation practices lead to panel failure. There has been no warranty returns.

LG has a installation network across Australia and LG applies specific criteria such as ensuring quality installation standards and excellent customer service for selecting their dealers. 

LG has its own state-of-the-art intensive testing photovoltaic testing laboratory certified by all 4 key testing houses in the world such as TÜV*. UL** and Frauenhofer as being of world class testing standard. LG are the only solar manufacturer so far who has obtained this high level, 4 partners   certification and their testing facilities are one of the world’s best.  

In order to be sold in Australia solar modules have to be tested and pass the IEC standard tests once. LG solar panels are tested in their special testing lab not to general IEC standards, for most tests for between two and up to four times the IEC standards, ensuring a very robust and long lasting solar module. 

LG solar panels are manufactured in a fully automated manufacturing facility in Gumi, South Korea and come with a 12 year parts and labour product warranty and 25 year performance warranty held here in Australia by LG Electronics. The new LG NeON R even gets a 25 year product warranty. 

The LG solar module range offers excellent performance from low light to peak sun.  The LG panel range offers panels in the 300W, 330W and 360W power class . The NeON R 360W and LG NeON 2 330W are LG’s most efficient solar panel, optimizing roof space and producing more electricity than standard mono-crystalline modules. The LG NeON range won the Intersolar Award in Europe for innovation in 2013, 2015 and 2016, as well as a range of other international awards, such a Top Brand Slar Panel, Australia Award in 2016 and 2017. 

The consumer magazine Choice also published in early 2017, that from an initially purchased 15 different solar panels, the LG NeON 300W module after a 12 month in real rood installation via the CSIRO laboratory, The LG NeON won the  competition as producing the most electricity per rates watt . Therefore the LG NeON was highest efficient panel in the Choice test.

LG NeON 2 technology offers increased reliability, upgraded durability, enhanced performance and improved efficiency in space management.
The innovative cello technology utilizes 12 connection wires instead of just 3 busbars, which was the technology used in the previous LG solar panels.

The new wiring design allows the panels to utilize scatter light more effectively for better absorption, while reducing the electrical loss by spreading the current over 12 cell busbars. As a result, of the improved temperature handling and power distribution, the LG NeON 2 can generate more electricity on a sunny day and performs better on cloudy days than prior panels.

Whereas conventional p-type silicon modules suffer from Light Induced Degradation, the NeON 2 modules use n-type silicon material and use the Multi–Wire Busbar cells for increased performance and reliability. This combination allows the annual degradation to be reduced by a up to 2 percent the first year and not more than 0.6 percent per year in the following 24 years.
In addition they re-manufactured the design to give it a reinforced frame.
As a result LG has extended the product warranty up to a 12 full years. 


The flagship NeON 2 315W technology is also available as a 300W full black great looking residential panel.
This product is ideal for the homeowner who wants to maximize the energy production potential within a limited roof space and also care about the aesthetics of solar. 

In America LG now also offer the Mono X NeON 72, well suited for commercial applications.
Two models of the Mono X NeON 72 are designed to deliver outputs of 360 and 365 watts, in 72 cell 77-inch by 39-inch panel. This new series builds on the success of LG’s award winning 60-cell Mono X NeON panels.
