This sensitivity continues even once the wine is bottled. To allow the fl avour of the wine to fully develop or to preserve excellent aroma, the wine has to be stored perfectly. For this, the technically advanced single zone wine cellars and multi zone wine cellars from Liebherr are the perfect answer. Incorporating the latest climate technology they provide precisely the right conditions for wines to mature in peace and reach their peak of fl avour. Including a state-of-the-art electronic control system, unique compressors and a host of thoughtfully designed features, such as the activated charcoal fi lter and the special tinted glass doors for essential UV protection, these appliances are specifi cally tailored for storing your wine in the best condition. Within the Liebherr range of wine cellars there are three categories GrandCru, Vinidor and Barrique.

GrandCru

The GrandCru series is particularly economical with their electronic controls and exceptional insulation for a wider range of climates. The attractive wooden shelves, sophisticated profi le and an elegant SlimLine handle make them the fi rst choice for discriminating palates. The GrandCru series are available in a compact size that can store up to 18 Bordeaux 750ml bottles such as WKEes 553 right through to a 312 bottle capacity such as
WKt 6451.

Vinidor

The Vinidor range offers two or three wine compartments in which the temperature can be individually set to the exact degree required. This means red wine, white wine and champagne can be kept at their ideal serving temperatures in the same appliance. Vinidor wine cellars provide the facility to set an ideal temperature for storing large quantities of wine for a longer term.

Barrique

The Barrique range of wine cellars includes the WKb 4612, WKb 4611, WKb 4112 and WKb 1712 featuring many traits the traditional Liebherr wine cellars offer. Barrique wine cellars come in various sizes and capacities, starting from a freestanding *60 bottle wine cellar to a larger upright *195 bottle capacity wine cellar.

Principal Points

Constant Temperature Liebherr wine cellars maintain precise temperatures. Features include electronic thermostats, heaters, fans and temperature selection from 5°C to 20°C.

Ideal Humidity
With 50% - 80% humidity, Liebherr wine cellars guarantee ideal conditions for the suppleness of the cork and the prevention of oxidization.

Perfect Air Quality
Liebherr wine cellars contain an activated charcoal fi lter and natural untreated beech wood shelves which ensure perfect air quality and reduce the instance of mould growth on corks and labels.

Vibration Free
All compressors are engineered to Liebherr’s precise German standards and are mounted on “isolation blocks” designed to absorb vibrations. This prevents the fi ne components of the sediment being disturbed.

UV Protection
Liebherr wine cellars have tinted, double glazed glass doors which prevent harmful ultraviolet rays causing unwanted reactions in your wine and discolouration of your labels.

Storage & Serving Temperatures

For optimum maturation and serving of wine, there is a general rule of thumb when it comes to temperature for each variety.

Recommended Serving Temperature

5°C – 7°C Champagne & Sparkling Wine
8°C – 10°C White Wine
11°C – 13°C Rosé & Dessert Wines
14°C – 18°C Red Wine
As noted the temperature range is only general and does not apply for all wines within the stated variety. Vintage wines for example that have a much more complex character, may require a higher temperature so that they can fully develop. It is also appreciated that each individual has their own taste and may prefer to consume their wine at temperatures higher or lower than the average.
